DAY 2-6

Spanish Classes

Over the past 10 years Argentina has become an increasingly popular country to learn Spanish. Despite being 13 or more hours away from continental Europe, (slightly less from the U.S), Argentina, and in particular the capital city of Buenos Aires has seen a huge growth of tourists from all walks of life descending on the country. Despite its modern, European feel, there's no denying that Argentina is still very much a Latin American country, and provides an intriguing, fascinating and stunning cultural backdrop to students wanting an authentic Spanish studying experience. In comparison with studying in Spain, Argentina is certain to throw up some unexpected and memorable experiences along the way and offer an insight into a totally different culture.

You have a choice to attend morning classes 9am – 1pm or Afternoon Classes 2pm to 6 pm

You will attend the Latin Immerison Spanish school and take part in 4 hour daily group classes. There are many mature students from other parts of the world so it is a great way to meet new people.

Tango Lessons

There is a saying: "It takes one lesson to learn Tango and a lifetime to improve it." Private Tango  Classes are provided for you by experienced Tango teachers, Lucia & Gerry.

One of the most fascinating of all dances, the tango is a sensual ballroom dance that originated in South America in the early twentieth century. Tango is usually performed by a man and a woman, expressing an element of romance in their synchronized movements. Originally, the tango was performed only by women, but once it spread into Argentina, it developed into a dance for couples. The popularity of the tango has greatly increased over the years. Argentine Tango is much more intimate than Modern Tango, and is well-suited to dancing in small settings. Argentine Tango retains the intimacy of the original dance.

Through the lessons you will get the opportunity to meet new people either Argentine or from overseas. Once you take a few lessons, the group often attends the nightly milongas (tango dance halls) where you can put what you have learnt to practice. Depending on when you choose to take your Spanish Classes, you can take your Tango lesson in the afternoon or the morning.
