The ecological train ride is included in the tour.   Return to your hotel St. Georges in the late afternoon.

Day 3:
Yacutinga Lodge

Transfer from hotel to Yacutinga Lodge where you will spend the next 2 nights Yacutinga Lodge: The best option to enjoy and discover our jungle after visiting Iguazú Falls.

Two hours from the world famous Iguazú Falls, Yacutinga Lodge and it’s wild life Reserve, is located deep in the pristine part of the Misiones jungle, almost entirely surrounded by the upper Iquazú river, - the same river that curves through the National Parks of Argentina and Brazil, and continues to flow southward to form a gigantic horseshoe, that becomes the majestic waterfalls. At Yacutinga, the immeasurable force of nature touches the tourists that come together from around the world with the expectation of seeing the miracle of life itself. Delight, respect, admiration, and a strong magical feeling that leaves you wordless, is repeated with each experience. Amongst the green, the lodge is a comfortable shelter in complete harmony with the environment. The buildings, with soft, rounded lines, accompanied by natural terrain slopes, blend in perfectly with the environment. Materials collected from the site, such as rocks and fallen trees were included in the design, strengthening the conservation philosophy of the enterprise. Those who want to live this experience, participate in a diversity of activities guided by ecologists and native Guarani people. Our guides have a high level of training in the interpretation of nature and its processes. The invitation then, is to come to the site to learn, understand, care for and preserve the nature and its inhabitants; and thus build bridges of love and commitment. And even if what has been lost cannot be recovered, the challenge is to preserve what remains, the source that guarantees our existence on earth.

Best spoken eco-tour to explore the most bio-diverse argentine eco system. Two overnights in the heart of the Iguassu Rainforest comfortably lodged away from massive tourism. Environmental Guides and Guarani People open their knowledge to scout you through the curiosities of this Rainforest. More than 10 miles of interpretational trails and the opportunity to paddle the Jungle waters of the exclusive Yacutinga Reserve. Arrival at the Lodge, welcome and room distribution. Presentation: The jungle and its state of conservation. Through this presentation the guide in charge will explain to the new guests the environmental situation of the ecosystem they are visiting. Questions & answers. Presentation about the activities and introductory explanation about the environmental problematic of the Rainforest and the actions we are undertaking to achieve its conservation. Dinner. Overnight.

Day 4: Yacutinga Lodge

After the breakfast, early in the morning we kayak along the San Francisco stream, which flows into the Natural Reserve. This is the right moment for a photo-safari and general fauna observation. The Forest water streams are highly important for the Ecosystem: they are true life corridors. Sailing these waters is extremely relaxing and gives us the opportunity to move along the Gallery forests in silence. In this environment, seed dispersal occurs differently. Root systems have adapted to flood Soils.

Salt patches are very common on the shores of these streams, and wild animals often seek these places, therefore it is common to find animal footprints and traces in the muddy shores. The water activity lasts almost 3 hours. Back to the Lodge at mid-morning. Lunch.

Free time to walk along and simply enjoy the facilities of the Lodge (swimming pool, visitor’s center, etc.). Interpretative walks in the afternoon, conducted by expert guides who provide good information on the several natural environments, their Flora and Fauna.  This is an environment highly rich in biodiversity, old-growth trees, medicinal plants, orchids, bromeliads, butterflies, beetles, birds and mammals that combine to provide the key to interpretation and astonish us with a very intense natural contact inside Misiones Forest. Dinner. Night walk.  The Forest at night. We wait for the night to come.  The sounds of Nature produce a very complex symphony. We silently take part of this scene. The owls start their activities. Above us, the Milky Way becomes our ceiling. This might be a suitable description of this walk organized by Yacutinga Lodge's environmental Guides. The aim is to sharpen our senses. Overnight.
